Why-really-do you do the things you do for others? If you are hoping to look good to someone else, receive some type of reward, acquire control over others, or alleviate guilt, it could be that you need to step back and ask God to help you purify your motives. By moving beyond pleasing others to pleasing God, you will be doing things for the right reasons.  When the motives behind your actions are pleasing to God, your efforts will produce good things-eternal things-inn your life and the lives of others.
